Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Hey Famly, a household organization service operated by Oak City Software Solutions ("we," "us," "our") at heyfamlyapp.com. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

The service

Hey Famly helps a household organize vehicles, home maintenance, a shared calendar, vacations, recipes, a shopping list, and tasks in one place. Features available to your family account depend on your subscription plan.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. One person creates a family account and can invite other members; the account owner is responsible for the family account's subscription and for the conduct of members they invite.

You must be able to form a binding contract to create an account. Hey Famly isn't directed to children under 13 — see our Privacy Policy.

Plans & billing

Hey Famly offers a Free plan (Tasks and Shopping List, up to 2 members) and a paid Family plan (all modules, unlimited members, calendar sync) billed monthly through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

To cancel a subscription or change plans, email cnickerson@oakcitysoftwaresolutions.com — self-service subscription management isn't available yet. Cancellation stops future billing; we don't provide refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.

Acceptable use

Don't use Hey Famly to store or transmit unlawful content, attempt to access another family account's data, interfere with the service's operation, or use the invitation system to send unsolicited invitations to people who haven't asked for one.

Your content

You own the content you and your family members enter into Hey Famly. You grant us a limited license to host, store, and display it back to your family account solely to provide the service. We don't claim ownership of your content and don't use it to train AI/ML models.

Termination

You may stop using Hey Famly at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, with notice where practical. Deleting an account and its data is currently handled by emailing us — see our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

Hey Famly is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify account owners by email. Continuing to use Hey Famly after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
